When do I need a permission code?

A permission code will be required for registration if:

• It is the second week of the class
• There is a time conflict with another class 
• You do not meet the requisite/pre-requisite requirements
• The class is full
• The class is outside of your career of study

If the department is not listed below, please contact the instructor or department offering the class directly to request a permission number. The Office of the Register will never issue permission codes to students. 

Prerequisites and CR/NC: Please be aware that students who have elected CR/NC will not automatically meet the grade requirement for prerequisites of future course(s). A student attempting to use a CR grade to meet the prerequisite requirement for a course will need to contact the department offering the course to obtain a permission code before they will be able to enroll in the selected course(s).
